Space Boxed or Boxed Space
2022
233 cardboard boxes measuring
28x18x18 cm

Based on the act of moving, this work, which is a reflection on cardboard boxes, deals with the relationship between box and space. Boxes, which normally function as intermediaries, gather the pieces that make the space a place and turn the new place into a habitat through what was gathered and eventually disseppear after the moving is done; here they evolve into permanent organisms, not temporary ones. Organised boxes mimic the topology of the space and place themselfs on to the surface. Thus boxes become a space which is nonspace through the void they preserve and at the same time they refer to the collection and memory potential of a space.
