In the exhibition (Congratulations), Deniz Kulaksızoğlu delves into themes such as school memories, the longing for freedom, and the hazy realm of pre-creation. Each work seeks its path through this triad, moving fluidly between revisiting school memories, abandoning the pursuit of specific recollections, and merging different points in time past, present, and even future. In a space, where time fragments and scatters, we encounter the ever- changing, ambiguous body of desire. Perhaps it can be said that Kulaksızoglu is searching for a fountain, an oasis in an arid yet boundless landscape. Yet, whether the water is a promise of renewal or the land an endless mirage, remains elusive.
